Maui is famous for its beautiful beaches, surfing, dramatic landscapes, and great weather. The island is west of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Alenuihaha Channel separates it from the Big Island. It is about 68 miles from Oahu as the crow flies.

From the top of Haleakala to the beaches at sea level, the island of Maui has a lot for people of all ages and interests to do. Valley Isle has a lot to offer besides its beaches, whether you like to get in your car and go or would rather spend an afternoon golfing.

From a farm-to-table experience, you won't soon forget a cute little museum where you can learn a lot about the island's history. In short, this place is a great place to take a vacation.

Makena Beach

Makena Beach also called "Big Beach" is one of the longest beaches on the island that hasn't been built. It is in Makena Village, which is south of Kihei. It is a great alternative to the more crowded beaches in Wailea. It is a great place for a romantic walk, and from the coast, you can see Kahoolawe and Molokini islands, which are beautiful. Couples can go to the park's "Little Beach," which is much smaller and doesn't have any lifeguards or facilities, for a more private spot.

Wailea Beach

Wailea is on the coast of southern Maui. It has five beautiful beaches and a lot of things to do, so it has become a popular place for tourists and resorts. Wailea Beach is the most famous and has some of the most expensive resorts in Maui. Polo Beach is popular with swimmers and snorkelers, and Ulua Beach Park is the perfect place for a romantic walk at sunset. Wailea is also known for its championship golf courses. Wailea Gold, Wailea Blue, and Wailea Emerald are just a few of these courses.

Waianapanapa State Park

On the Hana Coast, Waianapanapa State Park is a remote area with beaches, a rocky coast, hiking trails, camping facilities, and places to stay. It's a nice place to get out and enjoy nature. The Paola Bay black lava beach in the park is worth a visit, but people who don't know how to surf should stay out of the strong waves.

Lahaina and Kaanapali Beach

Maui's best beach is the three-mile-long Kaanapali Beach. It is part of the city of Lahaina and is in the western part of Maui. The daily cliff-diving ceremony is one of the most popular things to do at Kaanapali Beach.
